Grand Views in Meydan in Dubai, built by United Precast Concrete, is truly a one-of-a-kind residential experience. The project vision was brought to life using precast sandwich panels for the walls and hollow core slabs for the floors. The whole development, comprised total of 475 units including 171 villas and 304 townhouses, took only 18 months to complete, from design to construction.

At its peak, the project involved a total of 425 persons at UPC Dubai’s precast factory and about 300 persons were involved in installation and erection of precast concrete products at site. During the busiest period, 17 cranes were used onsite.
Coordinating stockyard management and logistics at the factory and onsite was challenging, because the project used a total of 77 900 precast concrete panels. Ongoing roadworks and infrastructure issues further added to the challenges.
In Grand Views, the buildings’ façades are made from grey concrete slabs and walls painted in situ. All the villas have spacious rooms with large insulated windows and a spacious covered terrace which allow sunlight to filter in gently at daytime. The terrace makes for a great place to gather with family in the evening. The terrace on the rooftop offers views of both the legendary seven-star hotel Burj Al Arab and that iconic landmark, Burj Khalifa.
“The sandwich wall elements are insulated, which is essential in the United Arab Emirates, where more than 50 percent of all produced energy is used to cool buildings,” says Curt Lindroth, Area Sales Director at Elematic.
Grand Views has become one of the most exciting addresses in town, melding the finest of exclusive suburban living with the convenience of living near Downtown Dubai.
